My very good friend David from Nottingham joined myself and Anthony on the Annan at kirkwood which has some very nice runs and pools to fish. The water was in great ply, dropping and clearing as the day went on. There were good movements of salmon going through the pools most of the day and the trout, some of them quite large were on the feed also.
David was casting and covering the water very well even though the wind could not make up it’s mind which direction it was coming from.
Near the tail of the Stone pool there was contact.

A hairy moment, the fish did not seem to want our acquaintance for some reason.
