The 27th on the middle river was surprisingly in reasonable condition and clearing, unfortunately it has rained non stop all day. Some good salmon reported up and down the river to both fly and spinner.
Once more the river has risen three feet overnight and on the 28th it is in full spate with heavy colour making fishing impossible today. The water should clear a little and levels drop overnight making fly fishing possible on the middle river next day but there is more of the wet stuff to come tonight!
On the 29th the middle river is in good ply. Good movements of fish coming off the tides and some large fish among them. The lower river is retaining some colour and a foot and a half above summer level now, the fishing is improving but there is more rain is due.
Five feet of extra water on the 30th, nothing to say except what a wet summer that was!
