The first three days of the month remained dry, with the threat of rain on the 3rd there were good fish movements during the late afternoon, a lot of coloured salmon on the move. There are still fish coming in on the tides which are building again this week and they not loitering. Rain on the night of the 3rd has risen the levels slightly on the 4th and kept fish running.
There have been quite a few salmon taken this last week to various methods, the main run is still yet to arrive.
Almost there.
Job done.
A seal bitten salmon, but encouraging to still see grilse running, probably a fish destined for the Caldew which were low on numbers last season.
Released, well done Chris.
