Eden.

Some very good salmon taken on the fly this last week, prospects are shaping up. On every tide there is salmon and sea trout coming through now, fish not always showing as they travel and they seem to be running quite hard at present. The biggest to the fly so far this season was a twenty pound fish above Carlisle, plenty of fish in the eight to ten pound class and several in the teens. Below the Irthing there is a slight tint to the clear water, it is still a good running height due to showers for fish to travel unimpeded as is seen with salmon bearing sea lice twenty five miles upstream. Very good fly water at present on the 15th, if the air warms a little more everything should come together nicely.
