The showers on the 5th is keeping the peaty water coming in, slight rises in water levels throughout the day and one or two fish moving. The trout fishing remains difficult, the weather really needs to settle down for a while and return the clarity of water that the trout prefer.
More colour in the water again on the 6th, we are set for a few dry days ahead in Cumbria and this should drop the levels and hopefully clear the suspension out of it. Today Hubert and I were suitably entertained by a poacher in the pool without a permit who was rather better at extracting fish than we were!
Along with Dippers, Kingfisher, sandpipers and other locals a very enjoyable day.
