River Eden

Was on the river Tweed from Monday to Wednesday, I have heard it before "you should have been here last week!" The water was on the low side but it was still a nice three days with some very good friends, you can't beat that!

At last we have some fish running the Eden although it is still at summer height, the main of them seem to be grilse, their late, but better late than never as they say. On the lower Eden today with Geoff and we saw a few grilse and sea trout showing off their impressive leaping skills to us, but we were not impressed with their fly taking abilities.

The weather was very good especially in the morning with good cloud cover and a stiff breeze. Because the salmon were playing very hard to get, Geoff had a go for some trout and did rather well. It is always a nice alternative when the salmon fishing is a little slow to do these things.
