River Eden

The river was unfishable during Monday the 20th, not big but with plenty of colour. By Tuesday it was in good order on the middle beats but not so on the lower river until the Wednesday. Very little fish movement this week although there have been some fish taken, the main run which should happen now has not quite materialised yet.

Heavy and persistent rain with the river looking promising on the 23rd has put two foot on the level overnight with a fair amount of colour. There are fish moving at last and we are hoping that this could be the start of the autumn run, the weather is forecast dry for the next few days, I am out with two friends from London this weekend so fingers crossed for them.
