The river was in fine form today with just a slight peaty tinge, a foot above summer level and quite a few fish moving. There have been many salmon caught today up and down the river, but it has not stopped raining all day and I fear the worse for tomorrow with two inches of rain forecast tonight along with gale force winds.
But like they say a bad days fishing is better than a good day at work!
On the middle river with Harold today trout fishing, unlike yesterday with the heavier colour to the water and the fish pretty hard to tempt, today was a different story, there was plenty of interest.
