The salmon seem to know more about the weather than we do, the big fish movement on the 15th was indeed anticipating the big rise of water which was very coloured. The river has peaked during the afternoon and is now dropping, alas there is more rain on the way again for he 17th. The river was out of sorts with fluctuations and colour due to the heavy showers on the 17th to the 19th, the middle beats came into good ply for the fly on the 20th and the lower river the day after.

Again good movements of fish both salmon and grilse off the tides now which are big this week, a few are stopping long enough to be tempted.

Perfect conditions on the 21st, nice flow, overcast, cool water and little wind, looking good!
