River Eden

I have been away quite a lot this last few weeks, first over to Northern Ireland to the Irish International Fly Fair - http://www.irishinternationalflyfair.com/ for four days where Stevie Kennedy has done a fantastic job over the years for the Dibney Trust, and we at AAPGAI always support that. the whole thing went very smoothly and it was great to catch up with old friends there.

Then sea trout fishing in mid-Wales for four days with Illtyd, Clive, Karl and Phil, which was quite phenomenal and very interesting to say the least, even got a bit of beach fishing in .

And now back on the Eden, which I had sorely missed while I was away, apart from the couple of rises of coloured water, the fishing has been very good. A little slow in the daytime with the heat but early and late sessions are well worth the effort.

As we speak the Eden is rising due to the heavy downpours, although this may spoil the fishing, especially the trout and sea trout for a while, it will certainly get some fish moving, this is grilse time!
