River Eden

The weather at the beginning of September has been quite exceptional, the river has been below summer level and the water temperature at around 60oF. There are plenty of salmon on the lower beats of the Eden and more come in off the tides everyday. The trout fishing with the low water has been very good, especially when there is cloud cover or fast water. Although there are good numbers of salmon present in pools they are very hard to tempt, nevertheless it is good to see them.

I have been out with some very good friends on the river and we have had a ball all week.
