Eden.

28th and 29th have been overcast with heavy cloud cover and strengthening south westerly winds, the air has cooled by quite a few degrees and the trout fishing has thankfully taken off once more. There is plenty of action all throughout the daytime period now with the trout taking freely.

The tides are at a low this week but there are still salmon and grilse nosing in to the Eden. The middle river is at summer height and will not see many more fish running through those beats until the levels rise, the lower beats at present are the better prospect.

On the river with Robert today, good conditions and a lot cooler than of late, almost autumnal. The otter was in residence, the birds were singing, everything was in its place.

The fish were very willing and we did not have to work too hard to get takes.
