I had a real nice and pleasant day out on the river with John today, the hatch began at 1pm and continued through until about 2.30pm. There were some nice fish showing on the top, John got hold of a couple and lost a couple.
Still bright conditions and a cool breeze with it today, there were certainly plenty of large darks on the go stirring the fish up.
During the quiet spell after the hatch had finished, one of the better fish decided that it had not quite had enough and there was an argument to whose fly it was!
