River Eden.

28th March. Although conditions would not seem favourable for fly fishing during the middle part of the day; with bright sunshine, low and very clear water, no wind and little cover, it has been quite remarkable. Most hatches are beginning around noon and continuing right through the afternoon, the fish are responding very well to most patterns of dry fly around the size fourteen. The water temperature is at 48oF, very hot days but cool nights keeping a nice balance, cooler and cloudier conditions are due for the last couple of days of the month.
